Hi! I'm Vance Gloster and I thought a web page would be a great way to share some of my interests with my friends. I'll try not to bore you to death or play one-up-manship presenting the most obscure stuff imaginable (like some home pages that I see). In the picture on the right I am holding a Chapman Stick (see below). No, the Chapman Stick is not the most obscure thing imaginable. It has been commercially available for 25 years, and was probably used on a song you like on the radio.

What are the latest events in my life?
My big hobby is writing, playing, recording, producing, mastering, and occasionally criticising music. Included are a number of wave files of the results of these activities.
One of the musical instruments I play is The Chapman Stick, a unique fretted instrument with 10 or 12 strings. Included here are links to some of my Stick activities.
I like to read when other activities do not interfere. Here is a list of the books I think everyone should read immediately! ;-)
I have been lucky enough to work at some really interesting places with really smart and interesting people. Here is a brief description of some of those places.
