What Is Singles by the Sea Toastmasters?
Singles by the Sea Toastmasters is a group of people who meet weekly to
improve their public speaking and leadership skills. We gather every Sunday
night for a full two-hour program in a supportive and engaging environment.
Each event is fun and innovative owing to the diversity and drive of the
membership. Most find the club a rewarding and enjoyable experience helping
to bolster not only their comfort with communication in the workplace and
social climes, but also in every occasion where command of public speaking
offers a distinct advantage.
Where Does Singles by the Sea Meet?
For our Halloween (October 31) meeting we will be meeting at a member's
house, at 200 S. Clark Dr., Beverly Hills (1 blk S. of Wilshire, 1 blk W.
of Robertson, on the SE corner of Clark + Charleyville). This meeting starts
at 6PM and costumes are optional.
We normally meet on the West side
of
Los
Angeles,
California on Sunday evenings at the Whole
Foods
Market
near
the corner of National and Barrington. Go to the customer service desk
and ask for the location of the community room
(it is upstairs, just past the employee
break room). The

Meetings begin promptly at 6:30pm on Sunday
evenings, and run until 8:30pm. All guests are welcome
and encouraged to visit our club as often as they wish.

What Is Toastmasters?
Founded in 1924, Toastmasters is the least expensive and most enjoyable way
worldwide to improve your ability at speaking in front of a group. Skill
sets Toastmasters develop often help them deliver more dynamic and effective
presentations, as well as carry out other professional responsibilities.
Beyond activities people normally associate with public speaking,
Toastmasters often develop skills to communicate better during job
interviews, business meetings, and in one-on-one conversations.

The Mission of the Club
The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and
positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity
to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence
and personal growth.
